: Gimhae International Airport is located at Daejeo 2-dong, Gangseo-gu, Busan. This airport began the service as Busan Suyong
airfield for the first time on August 1958, and was raised to Busan International Airport on September 1963.
It was moved to current location on August 1976 to expand the facilities and changed the name to Gimhae International Airport.
Gimhae International Airport continued to progress with the local community and now 9,170 thousand passengers are using
it annually. And travel convenience facility for passengers as well as the disabled are gradually being expanded.
To make a safe airport, hi-tech telecommunication & electronics equipments were installed for operation in best condition

Comfortable and pleasant airport

Gimhae International Airport is providing various convenience facilities and guide service for comfortable and pleasant trip of passengers.
We are operating overall information centers at each floor of domestic terminal and 1st floor of international terminal to provide accurate travel information, and installed FIDS to check departure/arrival time from time to time at principle places such as waiting room and restaurant etc. in the terminal. Also we have meeting places at each floor of domestic and international terminal for hail and farewell.
For the disabled, braille map, braille guide block, elevator notice, and restrooms for the disabled are installed and operated,
and will be enhanced continuously.
As commercial facilities, restaurants with Korean, Chinese, Western cuisine are providing hotel-class service, and snack bar is located at several locations in terminals for busy passengers on business. Also you can buy simple souvenirs at shops.
An elegant coffee shop to enjoy drink and tea during spare time (3rd floor of domestic terminal), Small gallery to appreciate arts and paintings (3rd floor in domestic terminal),a bookstore, shoe polishing places, and hair salon etc. are available for waiting time.
For the convenience of passengers, an airport clinic, travel agencies, vending machines of train ticket, limousine bus, banks, bureau de change, post office, and baggage lockers available.

Safe airport

Gimhae International Airport is operating hi-tech equipments for departure and arrival of aircrafts and repairs and operates in the best condition for safe flight. There are radar facilities and VOR that leads aircraft to land at the airport safely, DME that provides range information from aircraft to flight strip for safe landing, GP that notices landing angle(3˚C) of aircraft, LLZ that provides central information of flight strip, MM and IM that notifies the attitude of aircraft, ALS that guides the location of flight strip, and PAPL that notifies approach angle of flight strip etc. to provide best information for 24 hours. ※ For more information, please refer to data center ⇒ Please refer to landing & taking off course and support facility for safe operation of airplane Also, new flight strip was built on December 1999, and it stretched itself to an airport that all kinds of airplane including B747-400 can take off and land safely, and airport fire brigade, terror suppression team, and joint situation room are being operated for emergency. And training for airplane accident is being enforced for airplane staff two times a year.

we are trying to approach to customers with more familiar attitude by establishing various cultural events (concerts, performances, and events etc.) in Gimhae International Airport, and for local community we do public aid service like as constructing soundproof window, air-conditioning facilities for schools in noisy area, delivering scholarship, and supporting farmhouses damaged by typhoon etc.
